Collaboration between moviemakers in Tanzania and Rwanda has resulted in a new film project.
The film, titled A SEED OF MEMORIES, is directed by Rwandan first time feature film directors Richard Mugwaneza and Alexandre Sibomana and is produced by a Tanzanian company called Jicho Communicative.
The film, that premiered at Zanzibar International Film Festival in July 2017 and has been screened on Azam Tv’s Sinema Zetu, is scheduled for screening at Morocco Film Festival in September 2017.
Apart from the theme of East African integration and entrepreneurship, A SEED OF MEMORIES, that tells the story of Tanzanian and Rwandan young entrepreneurs collaborating but falling short when love affairs interfere in their work schedule, also tackles domestic violence and the importance of Kiswahili as the lingua-franca of East African Community partner states.
